Evaluation

Inner Scales 1: Choice launched on July 25, 2026 as a complete first-person FMV experience from MYSTERY CROWN, a small indie studio. The developer has been candid about the game's scope and limitations, describing it as a finished product centered on a single incident with multiple endings based on player choices. The developer's launch post on July 25, 2026 mentions that a sequel — Inner Scales 2: The Chosen One — is currently in development. However, this is a separate, standalone future title, not additional downloadable content or an update planned for this game. Similarly, the May 20, 2026 store announcement noting that rescue choices in this game will "directly affect Inner Scales 2" describes narrative continuity between two separate products, not unshipped content for this one. The day-after post on July 26, 2026 addresses player feedback about story quality, bonus video access, an achievement bug (already patched), and the save-file navigation layout. None of these communications announce new content or expansions for this game itself. Since the game only launched on July 25, 2026 — well within the 180-day window — and the developer has made no announcements about additional content for this specific title, it is simply too early to say whether any post-launch updates are planned.
Evidence
Post-launch developer statement addresses player feedback on story quality, bonus videos, and a patched achievement bug. Reiterates that revenue from this game will fund Inner Scales 2. No new content for this game is announced.

About this game

《Inner Scales 1:Choice》is a first-person FMV. Set in a sealed cage. It pushes survival, humanity, emotion and moral dilemmas to the extreme. You will face surveillance, cages, and the fates of eight trapped women—every choice you make decides life and death for others and yourself.

Backstory

Zhang Cheng, a new office worker, accepts a mysterious out-of-town assignment to secure his permanent position and earn extra money: four days of confined delivery work, no mobile phones allowed, with a daily pay of 1,000 yuan. Thinking it’s just a simple part-time job, he instead enters a heavily guarded suburban prison building.

Here, he delivers meals and takes body measurements for eight unknown women on the second floor each day, only to gradually discover they were all kidnapped. The entire building is under surveillance, its walls wired with high-voltage electricity, and corpses in identical prison uniforms are buried at the corners.

A mysterious figure in black, who controls everything, never shows up and only issues cold orders. As the four-day deadline approaches, Zhang Cheng finally realizes the truth: the organization never intended to set anyone free, and he himself has long been part of their twisted game.

He can follow the rules, finish the four days, take the money, and leave—letting the eight women meet their unknown fates.

Or he can disobey orders, risk his life, and use a food cart that can hide only one person to make the heaviest choice of his life:

Who to save? Who to leave behind?

Who are you willing to risk your life for?
