8Bit Fiesta - The Drinking Game

8Bit Fiesta launched into full release on September 30, 2016, after a period of Early Access. At launch, the developer promised ongoing free updates with new mini games and features, and delivered on that through several patches in late 2016 and early 2017 (adding mini games like Disco Time, Air Smash, and Rush Hour). On April 13, 2018, the game converted to free-to-play, and three DLC packs — Game Pack 1, Game Pack 2, and a Character Pack — were released on April 19, 2018 to monetize the additional content. All three DLC are released with no unreleased entries in the store listing. The most recent news post from August 13, 2024 is an announcement for a brand new game called Freak Show: Party Royale, described as a spiritual successor that takes "the best parts of 8Bit Fiesta" and builds on them. Crucially, this post is about a separate upcoming title, not new content for 8Bit Fiesta itself. There have been no developer posts announcing further updates or content for 8Bit Fiesta since the April 2018 DLC release — a span covering over eight years. The game appears to have reached its final content state with the April 2018 DLC release, and the developer has since moved on to a new project.
