Evaluation

A Completely Fictional Story About a City Inside a Whale launched on March 27, 2026. Since then, the developer has shipped a hotfix on March 30, 2026, a feature patch on May 19, 2026, and a second feature patch on June 25, 2026. The May 19 patch mentioned an official soundtrack release coming to Steam, and the June 25 patch notes mention the team is "working on community items" — referring to Steam profile cosmetics such as trading cards, not new game content. No DLC, expansions, or post-launch content roadmaps have been announced. The store description presents the game as a self-contained adventure in the town of Whaleville. With the game now six months past launch and no content announcements of any kind, the game appears to have launched as a complete, self-contained product. The post-launch patches addressed bugs and quality-of-life improvements only.
