A Game About is a free, short point-and-click game that launched on November 6, 2018 as a complete, self-contained experience — the developer describes it as a roughly ten-minute piece with no in-app purchases and no post-launch content planned. A bug fix was issued on November 25, 2018, and a voluntary donation DLC (which adds no game content) was added on January 21, 2019. On August 1, 2024, the developer posted an update explicitly moving on to a new project called Camille and Laura, thanking players and noting that A Game About remains one of the best things that ever happened to him. This communication makes clear that the developer considers A Game About a finished work and has shifted focus entirely to their next game. The game launched complete and has received no content updates in its lifetime.
