A Wild Catgirl Appears! launched on January 4, 2016 and received two major post-launch content updates. Version 2.0 (February 24, 2016) was a full engine rebuild with improved artwork, additional scenes, and new platform support. Version 3.0 (September 7, 2016) added new CG artwork, native 1080p resolution, and further improvements. The store description also references a free update adding Eiko, a new character and route, which appears to have been bundled into one of these versions. The developer's last communication was a streaming announcement on September 4, 2016 during 3.0 development, and the 3.0 release post on September 7, 2016 was the final news item. Since then — nearly a decade as of June 2026 — there have been no further posts, announcements, or hints of additional content. The developer's attention had already shifted to other projects (Impulse launched April 2016; Sweet Volley High was in development by July 2016). The game shipped as a short visual novel, received two rounds of meaningful improvements, and has been silent ever since. There is no announced future content and no unreleased DLC listed on the store.
