On October 28, 2021, HitPoint Studios announced it had been acquired by Penn National and that, as a result of the acquisition, all of its products — including Adera — would be removed from Steam and other platforms. The game is no longer available for purchase, which matches that announcement. Existing owners retain access to the game. Development has definitively ended alongside the studio's transition.
