Age of Clicks

Age of Clicks launched into Early Access on July 21, 2026, with the developer immediately declaring "this release is only the beginning" and publishing a detailed multi-phase roadmap the following day, July 22, 2026. The roadmap committed to an Economy Update, native Mac and Linux releases, an Events & Multiplayer Update (including historical events, national focus trees, and multiplayer), and an Internal & External Policy Update — all targeted for Q3 or Q4 2026. Since launch, the developer has been highly active. Two major updates have shipped: a first major combat and gameplay overhaul on July 25, 2026 (Update 0.60), and a second large update on August 4, 2026 (Update 0.60). Several further feature patches followed in August 2026 (Updates 0.61, 0.62, and 0.62.5), adding new mechanics such as colonization, army planning tools, a reworked war report, and extensive performance and visual improvements. As of September 16, 2026 — the most recent developer communication — the developer announced that a "big economy update" is coming soon, directly confirming the Economy Update from the original roadmap is still in development and not yet delivered. Several other roadmap items (Events & Multiplayer, Mac & Linux, Internal & External Policy) also remain publicly outstanding with no delivery announced. The game is still unambiguously in active Early Access development with significant planned content ahead.
