Aggelos launched on June 19, 2018 as a complete, self-contained retro action-RPG. A post-launch feature update on September 13, 2018 added Hard Mode and new language support. No story DLC, expansions, or additional content were ever released for the base game, and no unreleased DLC is listed on the store. The developer's recent activity has been focused entirely on Aggelos 2, a separate sequel that was announced on October 17, 2025, given a release date on May 27, 2026, and launched on August 27, 2026. The launch post for Aggelos 2 promotes an "Aggelos Collection Bundle" bundling both games together, but this does not represent new content for the original Aggelos — it is simply a purchase bundle for two distinct products. The original game shipped as a finished product and development of it concluded after its post-launch polish updates in 2018.
