Ajax’s Trial

Ajax's Trial is a free standalone prologue for the full game Legendary Hoplite, not a game receiving ongoing content of its own. The store description and short description both make this explicit: it is described as "the prologue version of Legendary Hoplite," offering 7 levels and a boss fight as a taste of the full game. The prologue launched on May 26, 2023, received two small hotfix patches in the days immediately following (May 28 and May 30, 2023), a performance/bug fix update on June 3, 2023, and a handful of developer posts through mid-2023 that were entirely focused on the full game (Legendary Hoplite) rather than the prologue itself. On February 2, 2024, the developer announced that the full game, Legendary Hoplite, had launched — explicitly stating "the time for playtests and prologues is over." This confirms that the prologue's purpose has been fulfilled. There have been no posts about updates or new content for Ajax's Trial since then, and none were ever planned — the prologue was always intended as a sampler, not a game with its own content roadmap. Ajax's Trial launched as a complete, intentionally limited product (a prologue), and the full game it was teasing has since released. This game is finished and complete as of its launch date.
