Alter World launched on Steam on May 29, 2015 as a self-contained 2D platformer with 80 levels across 10 worlds and multiple endings — a complete, finite product by design. The only post-launch developer activity was a feature patch (Update 1.1) announced on December 8, 2015, adding level select, Chinese localization, and Steam Controller support. There have been no developer communications of any kind since December 2015, no DLC has ever been listed, no roadmap or future content was ever announced, and the store description describes a finished game with no mention of ongoing updates. The game launched as a complete product and received one quality-of-life patch before going quiet. There is no indication of any further content planned or in development.
