Angry Penguin launched on May 29, 2024 as a solo-developed retro-style platformer. At launch, the store description explicitly promised that more maps, game modes, and a multiplayer mode would be added over time. In a developer post on June 5, 2024, the developer confirmed they would be working on the multiplayer mode and mentioned a planned penguin customization update as a precursor to it. Two additional patches followed on June 6 and June 21, 2024, adding an easy mode and gameplay balancing adjustments respectively.
However, June 21, 2024 marks the last known communication from the developer. As of June 20, 2026, nearly two years have passed without any news, patch notes, or updates. The promised multiplayer mode, additional maps, and customization features have not been publicly delivered or addressed. Given the extended silence and the outstanding commitments the developer made at launch, it is unclear whether development on the planned content is still ongoing.

And no, his anger isn't about inflation, rising medical bills, or global warming; It's because he's searching for his eggs, which mysteriously got scattered on an island... (luckily, he has a boating license)
