Annalynn launched on January 29, 2021 and has received a steady stream of post-launch updates from its solo developer, Cruise Elroy. Major additions include version 1.3 (June 24, 2021) adding Random Mode, version 1.5 (April 18, 2022) introducing Arcade Mode and a cheats system, and version 1.6 (June 7, 2023) adding new cheat modes and a notification system, with bug-fix patches through December 20, 2023. On January 29, 2024 (the game's 3rd anniversary), the developer previewed features for an upcoming 1.7 update — including a Sound Test and Cutscene Theater — and estimated it would ship before the end of June 2024. That deadline came and went with no release. On January 29, 2026 (the game's 5th anniversary), the developer posted again, confirming the 1.7 update is still coming, apologizing for the long delay, and saying "things are moving on it once again" with more information expected "in the hopefully near future." That post is the last known communication from the developer about this game. As of October 1, 2026 — more than eight months after that January 2026 post and more than two years past the original estimated release window — the 1.7 update has still not shipped and there has been no further word from the developer. The update remains an announced, undelivered commitment, and the developer's silence since January 29, 2026 raises real uncertainty about whether and when it will arrive. The 1.7 update is the outstanding commitment for this game; the separately announced Annalynn MD is a distinct new title.
