Evaluation
Another Eden is a free-to-play JRPG that has been in continuous, sustained operation since its Steam launch on March 30, 2021. The developer, WFS, Inc., has maintained a relentless cadence of major content releases — the 50 posts scanned include 8 major updates, with new story chapters, new playable characters, and new game systems arriving roughly every 4–8 weeks without interruption.
The most recent major update shipped on August 6, 2026 — just one week before today — adding Part 3 of the active Apocrypha arc "The Ghosts of Hope." That arc itself began in April 2026 and is still actively releasing new chapters. Prior to it, the multi-part "An Ode to Origin" episode arc ran from August 2025 through March 2026 across four installments.
Additionally, on July 23, 2026, the developer announced "Another Eden Begins" — a companion standalone title retelling Part 1 of this game's story — scheduled for release on September 17, 2026. That announcement includes serial code bonuses redeemable in this game (such as new character encounters and cosmetic outfits), directly tying the two products together and confirming ongoing engagement with this game's live ecosystem.
This is a live game by design: it is free to play, financed through in-game character encounters (gacha), and built around a continuously expanding narrative and roster. There is no indication whatsoever that content development is slowing or ending.
Evidence

Developer announced 'Another Eden Begins,' a standalone companion title releasing September 17, 2026, with serial codes that unlock new characters and content in this game — confirming the live ecosystem remains active.
