The developer explicitly announced the completion of this game on October 24, 2020, in a post titled "The last chapter of the grand finale of this life." In it, the developer stated the main story plot was finished, reflected on the game's journey from its original launch on October 24, 2019 through its Steam release on January 28, 2020, and noted that they would now rest after investing over 4,000 hours of solo development. The store description confirms that all main plot chapters — from Refining Qi through to the final chapter — are currently in the game. The developer also mentioned that any future installment (a third entry in the series) would be released as a separate DLC product, not as additional content for this game. The only DLC listed is a strategy/guide supplement released on April 29, 2020, which does not represent additional story content. There have been no developer communications since October 2020, consistent with the game being finished. This is a complete, standalone game.
