云端之约

云端之约 (A Date in the Clouds) is a visual novel / RPG developed and published by White Star Studio. It launched on January 12, 2021, following a pre-release demo period during which the studio gathered player feedback and made refinements. The launch post framed the game as a complete, heartfelt story — a self-contained work the small four-person team had poured their effort into. After launch, the studio released two feature patches in late 2020 (during the demo period) adding quality-of-life improvements such as fast-forward and save slot enhancements. A one-year anniversary post on September 26, 2021 thanked players and signaled that the studio was pivoting toward an entirely new game — a historical city-building game — rather than continuing to develop 云端之约. On April 21, 2023, the studio announced the release of their new title, 《满庭芳：宋上繁华》, on Steam Early Access. The same post mentions that the developer is "slowly writing a new story" about heartbreak and healing, but frames this as a future independent project — not additional content for 云端之约. There are no unreleased DLC listings, no roadmap, and no developer statement promising further updates or content for this game. The developer's attention has clearly moved on to new projects. 云端之约 shipped as a complete standalone story and has received no content updates since its January 2021 launch.
