Arctic Eggs

Arctic Eggs

Released May 2024

Eggs: perfection in two parts. The simple whites. The sublime yolk. Each the lesser without its partner. Chorus and verse. A symphony of flavor. The catchy tune reminding us of warm baths and late-night movies. The elevator music to whatever lies beyond.

Evaluation

Arctic Eggs launched on May 16, 2024 and received a handful of post-launch updates: a Sandbox Mode (May 21, 2024), a Chinese localization and Random Mode patch (June 1, 2024), and a publisher announcement update on August 22, 2024 that added a large batch of new language localizations. That August update included the teaser line "More surprises for aspiring chefs coming soon," but no specific content was ever announced or delivered following it. On the one-year anniversary (May 16, 2025), the developer posted a celebratory update noting the addition of apostrophes and putting the game on sale. Regarding further content, he wrote: "Is there more in store for Arctic Eggs? Does it matter if you can fry an egg on top of Mount Everest? That's a tough one to crack, but I'd like to think so." This is a vague, non-committal remark rather than an announcement of planned content. More tellingly, since late 2025 the developer has been publicly focused on his next game, "About Fishing." A December 2025 post announced it, a March 2026 post promoted its second playtest, and a June 15, 2026 post announced that its demo has launched — explicitly thanking Arctic Eggs fans and directing them toward the new project. The developer has made no mention of additional Arctic Eggs content across any of these communications. The only DLC released is the soundtrack (June 11, 2024), with no unreleased DLC on the store. Taken together, the evidence points to Arctic Eggs being a complete, finished product. The developer has moved on to a new project and has not announced or hinted at any concrete future content for Arctic Eggs.

About this game

Cooked on both sides. As always

What are fish but eggs with extra steps? What is bacon but pigs without the fluff? How long should one cook a cigarette? Such questions have plagued poets and kings since man claimed fire. Perhaps in your journey you’ll find the answers. Or like, at least the answers for YOU, dude. That’s what matters most.

TOUCH LIVES

Everyone has a story. All you have to do is listen. Or don’t. You can just click real fast to get to the cooking parts. It’s not like we’re watching you. YOU bought the game. You can play it now YOU want. I mean, who am I to tell you what to do? Not really my vibe.

REALISTIC PHYSICS

The game isn’t hard. Cooking is.

Can you cook an egg on top of Mount Everest? I am not sure. But perhaps that’s irrelevant.
