Arena launched on May 19, 2020 as a free-to-play first-person magic shooter with 16 levels, 4 spells, and 9 enemy types. On May 29, 2020, the developer Clay Peterson posted a bug fix update and announced a "big update" in the works, promising a new arena, new enemy types, and a new playable character. The store description also states an intent to add new maps, character types, and game modes in the future. However, that May 29, 2020 post is the only developer communication on record since launch, and there have been no further updates or announcements since that date. The promised big update never received a follow-up post, no release was announced, and the developer has been completely silent since May 29, 2020. This is a solo developer project, and while the announced content has technically never been cancelled, over six years have passed with no sign of progress. The original promise of future content remains unresolved, with no confirmation it was ever delivered or abandoned.
