Arkanoid - Eternal Battle launched on October 27, 2022 as a complete product with four game modes (Neo, Retro, Versus, and the Eternal Battle battle royale mode) and two cosmetic DLC packs, both of which were available on launch day. There have been no major content updates post-launch — the developer's news history across 31 posts contains zero major content drops and zero announcements of future content. The only substantive post-launch news was a January 12, 2024 notice that the Eternal Battle mode was made available as a free-to-play standalone app, which is a distribution change rather than new content for the base game. Server maintenance was performed in November 2022, indicating the online infrastructure was active early on. The last developer communication of any kind was on January 12, 2024, and there have been no posts since. With no outstanding content commitments, no unreleased DLC, and no developer statements pointing to future updates, the game appears to have shipped as a finished product with no post-launch content cycle.

Arkanoid is an iconic arcade game, developed by TAITO Corporation in 1986. When the mother ship ARKANOID comes under attack, the small spacecraft VAUS manages to escape but ends up warped into another dimension. Wandering in an inter-dimensional labyrinth, VAUS must destroy blocks called ""spacewalls"" in order to defeat ""DOH"", the creator of the maze responsible for ARKANOID’s destruction.
