Evaluation

Art of Solitaire launched on Steam Early Access on October 1, 2025, and is built around a live, ever-growing content model. The store description explicitly states that "new designs [roll] out each month," and the developer has consistently delivered on this: new artist-designed card decks shipped in February (Monument Valley collaboration and Crimson Luck), April (Riso Picnic by Kelly Belter), and June 2026 (Queer Folk! by Kamila Krol), among others. This monthly cadence is a core part of how the game is designed to operate — it is not working toward a fixed "complete" state. Beyond the monthly decks, the developer has been actively building out the game's feature set during Early Access. Major additions include cross-platform play and cloud saving with V3 (October 27, 2025), the Steam Drops system allowing players to earn tradeable Steam Inventory items tied to rotating featured decks (February 17, 2026), and the Rooms feature enabling streamers and viewers to play cards together (April 8, 2026). A developer post from November 18, 2025 directly stated that their update was "the first of many," reinforcing their ongoing commitment. The game is clearly designed as a continuously updated service: rotating featured decks, seasonal rewards, and monetized collectible drops all indicate that the content cycle is by design indefinite. With 30+ developer posts across its Steam lifespan, consistent monthly releases, and no indication of a planned 1.0 "complete" state, this is a game meant to keep growing.
