Art Plunge

Art Plunge is a free-to-play VR experience featuring five famous paintings, released on September 11, 2019. On November 25, 2023, the developer announced three things coming in 2024: the app would become free on Steam, additional paintings would be released, and a new SteamVR version with basic creation tools (focused on a Blender-integrated workflow) would enter beta testing. The first of those promises was fulfilled on February 2, 2024, when the game went free-to-play. However, the February 2024 post made no mention of the promised additional paintings or the creation tools beta. There have been no developer communications since February 2, 2024. As of June 27, 2026, those two announced features — new paintings and the SteamVR creation tools — have not been confirmed as delivered, and the developer has gone silent for over two years since their last post. The store description still lists only the original five artworks, with no indication the new content has arrived.
