Assault Bots launched as a free-to-play multiplayer robot shooter on April 15, 2022 and has been receiving ongoing updates ever since. The developer has shipped two identifiable major content drops: two new maps on February 22, 2024, and most recently on October 4, 2026, a large update adding a brand new map (Olympus Colony replacing Martian Wasteland), new laser guns for each team, a homing missile launcher replacement, and a new HUD. A same-day bug fix patch was also issued on October 4, 2026 to address hitbox issues introduced by that update. Prior to that, a full networking system overhaul shipped on May 21, 2026, and a feature patch on February 1, 2026 added weapon mechanics and map changes. The developer has maintained a consistent pattern of feature work throughout the game's life, with no statement of completion or wind-down. The most recent developer communication is today's date, October 4, 2026, confirming active, hands-on development continues.

Assault Bots: Multiplayer robot shooter
Customize your robot vehicle, and play against other players in this third-person online robot vehicle shooter. Choose from wheels, mech legs, helicopter blades, wings (you can fly), and customize your robot in many different ways. Pick the alien Kronon team or human AI team and destroy the other team in online multiplayer. You can use machine guns, lasers, rocket guns, and all different types of weapons and add-ons to make your bot the best.
There is also an offline mode where you can play against bots, in singleplayer.
The game features multiple game modes, including capture the flag, conquest, team deathmatch, free-for-all, etc.
You can rank up your bot to unlock more powerful and unique add-ons and perks, and you can unlock different weapons to use in combat.
