Assault Spy launched into Early Access on May 7, 2018 and reached its full 1.0 release on October 2, 2018. During and after Early Access, the developer (Wazen) was actively improving the game with new content and fixes. The most notable post-launch addition came on July 2, 2020, when a substantial free update added a hidden boss fight, new difficulty levels, new extra modes, and a new hidden skill for Asaru. This was followed by further balance and feature patches on August 19, 2020 and October 23, 2020 — the latter being the last recorded developer communication. Since October 23, 2020, there have been no further posts, announcements, or updates from Wazen. The game has one DLC — a digital soundtrack — which released alongside the game on October 2, 2018, with no additional DLC announced or listed. There are no unreleased DLC entries, no roadmaps pointing to future content, and no developer statements indicating ongoing development plans.
