Astral Party is a free-to-play online board party game that launched on February 28, 2024, and has operated as a live service title ever since. The developer ships major content updates on a roughly 4–8 week cycle, with 13 major updates logged across the game's history. The most recent update deployed on July 30, 2026 (announced July 29, 2026) and introduced a new playable character (Abyssal Larva) via a gacha banner, expanded the Sports Meet co-op challenge map with new gameplay modifiers and chips, launched Season 8 "Synthetic Surge" second half event running through September 3, 2026, and added a new paid pass skin running through September 2, 2026. Timed events with active end dates in September 2026 confirm the game is in the middle of an ongoing content cycle as of today (August 27, 2026). Prior major updates include: the June 25, 2026 update adding three new Sports Meet maps and Season 8 first half; the May 21, 2026 update adding a Needy Streamer Overload collaboration return, new co-op gameplay modifiers, a new casual mode chapter, and a new limited-time mode (Lucky Star Clash); the April 17, 2026 update introducing a new character (Supernatural Force) and extreme difficulty map content; the February 27, 2026 second anniversary update with exclusive skins and anniversary rewards; and the February 5, 2026 update introducing a new co-op map (Garden Courtyard) and the Astral Town casual mode. In December 2025, the developer split the game into separate CN and Global servers following a change of operating entity, reflecting active and ongoing operational investment. The game's store description explicitly states that more characters will be added through future updates. The entire monetization and content structure — rotating character gacha banners, seasonal skin banners with reruns, clearpass battle passes, limited-time collaboration events, timed exclusive game modes, and a seasonal event currency shop — is built around indefinite ongoing content delivery. There is no indication from the developer that this content cycle will end.
