Astro Prospector launched on July 14, 2025 and has received consistent post-launch support from Incrementalist. The first patch arrived within two weeks of launch (July 29, 2025), followed by the large free "Endless Coffee" update on November 24, 2025 — a whole new survivors-like roguelite mode adding 5 weapons, 200+ upgrades, 9 ships, and new enemies. Three additional balance and feature patches followed through January 20, 2026, actively refining the new mode. On January 28, 2026, the developer announced that the game has surpassed 100,000 copies sold and confirmed that console and mobile ports are currently in development. The most recent Astro Prospector-specific communication was the January 28, 2026 milestone post. The developer's attention has since shifted to promoting their next game, Hole Is Mine, with a new demo released in April 2026 and an updated demo in June 2026 — a natural sign of a small studio moving forward, but this does not indicate Astro Prospector development has ended. The game has established a clear pattern of substantial post-launch updates, and outstanding platform work (ports) remains in progress. No developer statement has indicated content development is complete.
