Evaluation

Babble Royale launched into Early Access on December 15, 2021 as a free-to-play word battle royale game. Between launch and July 2022, the developer (Everybody House Games) was actively posting updates: four feature patches and two bug fix posts shipped in the first few months, followed by the Season One announcement on July 1, 2022. That July 1, 2022 post is the last official communication from the developer. In it, they stated: "We are still planning to transition from early access to official release sometime in early '23 with custom lobbies and more." The June 17, 2022 announcement similarly confirmed a planned Q1 2023 full release. That promised Q1 2023 full release never came — or at least was never publicly announced. The game still carries the Early Access flag on Steam as of today (June 22, 2026), and there have been no developer news posts, patch notes, or announcements in nearly four years since July 1, 2022. The store description still references "Season Zero" as the early access launch with plans to expand content "over the next few months," language that has never been updated to reflect the current state of the game. Given the outstanding promise of a full release and additional features, combined with nearly four years of total silence from the developer, the status of this game's development is deeply uncertain.

  • Customize
Express your inner Babbler. The store has a range of skins, hats, and emotes for you to earn or purchase.

We made Babble Royale for competitive gamers who like smart games, and casual gamers who like intense competition. The combination of classic word-making gameplay with fast-paced tactical action means the game is easy to learn but has an insanely high skill ceiling.

Season Zero is our early access launch. Over the next few months we look forward to expanding the game with new content and features and working with our player community to make the game as great as it can be. We hope you'll join us!
