Evaluation
Bacteria launched on March 23, 2016 as a self-contained puzzle game based on Conway's Game of Life. Both available DLC items — a Collector's Edition Content pack and a Soundtrack — were released on the same day as the base game, indicating they were part of the launch package rather than post-launch additions. The developer's post-launch activity consists entirely of maintenance work: a minor menu update two days after launch, an engine update in July 2016, and a final engine update to Unity 2017 in September 2017. There have been no developer communications of any kind since September 3, 2017, no announcements of future content, no roadmaps, and no unreleased DLC. The game shipped as a complete, finished product and has received no content additions beyond technical upkeep.
Evidence
v1.03 engine update to Unity 2017.1.0p2. Last developer communication on record.
Collector's Edition Content DLC released on launch day, part of the initial release package

About this game
'Bacteria' - A new puzzle game from the creators of 'Energy Balance' and 'Energy Cycle'.
This game is based on the rules of the cellular automaton ‘Life’ devised by John Horton Conway in 1970.
(You can read more about how it works in greater details here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conway's_Game_of_Life )
In 'Bacteria' you have a square game field that is in some form of a stable state. You need to add in a certain number of cells so that, after a few steps, the field will be halted (in colored mode) or even cleared (in "hard" black & white mode). You could draw in single points, or use standard 'Life' patterns like "Gliders" (they move at an angle) and "Lightweight spaceships (LWSS)" (they move in a straight line).
Depending on the difficulty level, the player can use a smaller area to add new cells.
