BAKERU launched on Steam on September 3, 2024 as a port of an existing game, arriving with additional content beyond the original release (new attacks and an additional enemy type). The only DLC available is a soundtrack, which released alongside the game on September 3, 2024 — there are no unreleased DLC items listed. Since launch, the developer has issued a handful of maintenance patches: an ultra-wide monitor support update on September 26, 2024, a high refresh rate rendering fix on October 17, 2024, and a security-related engine update on November 6, 2025. None of these patches added new game content, and the November 2025 post explicitly notes "no changes have been made to the game content." There have been no announcements of future DLC, expansions, or additional content of any kind. The game appears to have launched as a complete, self-contained product.

Transform into fairy tale heroes!
By obtaining a Henge License, Bakeru can transform into whoever gave him the license. Transform into famous Japanese heroes like Kintaro and Momotaro to use their skills and abilities.
