Bare Witness launched on July 20, 2024 as a complete adult visual novel with six primary love interests, eleven endings, and nearly 15,000 renders. Patches in the following weeks added French and Italian translations, updated the game engine, and fixed bugs. On August 20, 2025, the developer released a free image gallery of over 250 pieces and an official walkthrough, which is also sold as a separate DLC, and described this as the last major update to the game. Since then, the developer has issued a bug-fix update on June 10, 2026, and a language update on October 12, 2026 that adds complete Dutch, German, Spanish, and Turkish translations and revises the French and Italian translations. No new story content or expansions have been announced, and no unreleased content is listed on the store. The developer's explicit statement that the August 20, 2025 update was the last major update supports treating the game as finished, while the 2026 updates are localization and maintenance work.

Starting a new life is difficult enough. Moving to upstate New York for art school was a change you looked forward to. But you've got a history, and you quickly discover you can't quite leave that history behind. This is an adult visual novel with many paths (and 11 primary endings!) and lots of replay potential. Pursue solo relationships with each of the girls, or a poly relationship with a select few!
This is a pure visual novel experience: No grind, no minigames, no free-roam, and no sandbox. Just a story where you take control of the narrative and engage only those love interests you're most enamored of. When the game is done, start up again and seek out new roads to take and new romances to play out!
