Battle Bands: Rock & Roll Deckbuilder launched into full 1.0 release on November 13, 2023 after approximately two years in Early Access. The 1.0 launch post stated that going forward the team would "continue fixing bugs, tweaking balance, and improving quality of life features" and expressed hopes to tackle controller support, additional languages, and "EVEN MORE rad content." This was followed by two post-launch updates: Update 1.1 on December 5, 2023 (a community-driven balance and quality-of-life patch) and Update 1.2 on March 14, 2024 (adding the new Endorsements feature, new cards, new moments, and further balance changes), with a hotfix on March 15, 2024. Since March 15, 2024, there have been no further developer communications or updates of any kind. The 1.0 launch note's mention of future content was a general aspiration, not a firm commitment, and was plausibly addressed by the two post-launch updates that followed. No unreleased DLC is listed on the store. Given the silence since March 15, 2024 — over 15 months with no posts — and no outstanding announced content, the game appears to have concluded its post-launch update cycle. The only DLC is the soundtrack, which released in 2022 during Early Access.

In this battle of the bands roguelike, the winner takes all to become a rock & roll legend. As the player progresses through the ranks from a garage band hero to a monster axe-wielding maestro, their deckbuilding prowess will be challenged in the ultimate card game showdown.

Pick between Guitar, Bass, Keyboard, or Drums. Build your deck with hundreds of unique cards and discover special Reign-specific cards. Between your shows you can upgrade your cards, refine your deck and coordinate your next move.

Grab your gear, your bandmates, and set out for greatness. Customize everything from instruments to wardrobe and come up with a wicked band name.

Play solo or bring a group of friends and challenge AI adversaries in a 1-4 player, roguelike cooperative campaign that will test your musical mettle.
