Evaluation
Battle Bruise launched on May 3, 2017 and received a single DLC — its official soundtrack — on August 25, 2017. That appears to be the extent of post-launch content for this game. Developer communications from 2018 onward make clear that the studio's attention had shifted entirely to a sequel, Battle Bruise 2, with the August 20, 2018 post discussing design changes for the sequel and a November 5, 2019 post recruiting testers for it. A February 27, 2020 post promoted Dog Duty, another studio title. None of these posts mention any new content planned for the original Battle Bruise. The last communication of any kind from the developer on this game's page was February 27, 2020, and there are no unreleased DLC items. The original game launched as a compact arcade experience, and the developer explicitly moved on to building a sequel rather than continuing to update this title.
