Battle Chef Brigade originally launched on November 20, 2017. On August 28, 2018, Trinket Studios released the free "Deluxe" update — a substantial expansion adding local multiplayer, a new playable character (Ziggy), Survival Mode, Free Play Mode, and an art gallery. The game's title was updated to "Battle Chef Brigade Deluxe" to reflect this enhanced edition, and a follow-up patch on September 17, 2018 addressed bugs from the Deluxe release.
Since then, no new gameplay content for Battle Chef Brigade has been released. In October 2022, Trinket Studios reclaimed the game's publishing rights while teasing a new project. In June 2025, that project was revealed as Battle Suit Aces, a new narrative deckbuilder, which launched on October 8, 2025. The studio's communications make clear that Battle Chef Brigade is their completed prior work, with their full attention now on Battle Suit Aces.
On August 19, 2026, Trinket released a digital artbook for Battle Chef Brigade as a DLC PDF — a supplemental art/lore item, not a gameplay expansion. The developer's note in that post ("after years of being too swamped to get this done, we finally did it") confirms this was a long-delayed companion piece rather than a sign of returning development. The artbook's release does not change the game's complete status.
Battle Chef Brigade Deluxe is a finished, polished package. No further gameplay content has been announced or is expected.

About this game
Welcome to Victusia, where the members of the elite Battle Chef Brigade are revered for their ability to skillfully take down monsters and transform their kills into delicious cuisine! But getting in isn't easy; chefs from across Victusia must vie for their spot in a high stakes competition. Follow two contestants, Mina and Thrash, as their journeys through the tournament unfold. In order to become a Brigadier you'll need to hunt monsters with combo-based attacks and prepare your freshly-caught ingredients in puzzle-based cooking challenges to serve up winning dishes to the judges – all while the round clock ticks down.
