Stunlock Studios explicitly announced the end of content development for Battlerite Royale in a developer post on October 23, 2019. In that post, they stated: "This is the last content update scheduled for Battlerite Royale. We will stay in maintenance mode with both titles for the foreseeable future." This was accompanied by a link to a separate blog post titled "the future of Battlerite," which had been referenced even earlier in the July 2019 patch notes when the studio announced that Battle Season 3 would be their "final Battle Pass for the foreseeable future."
Following that October 2019 announcement, all subsequent developer posts on this game's Steam page have been announcements and updates for V Rising, Stunlock Studios' next game — confirming the studio shifted its focus entirely away from Battlerite Royale. The last Battlerite Royale-specific communication was the October 23, 2019 patch. All three DLC packs were released by February 19, 2019, and no new DLC has been listed since. The game remains purchasable and playable, but no further content is planned or expected.
