Bean Beasts

Bean Beasts launched on August 21, 2025 as a solo-developer tower defense game. Following launch, the developer shipped several patches addressing player feedback on difficulty, balance, and quality-of-life (August 27, August 31, and October 8, 2025). These were all improvements to the existing game rather than new content expansions. On January 2, 2026, the developer posted a status update describing plans for the year ahead. The focus was entirely on platform ports — a Nintendo Switch version and a mobile (Android/iOS) release — rather than any new content for the base game. The developer also mentioned beginning work on a completely separate new game. Notably, no new levels, enemies, modes, or DLC were announced for Bean Beasts itself. The Switch port launched on March 12, 2026, accompanied by the release of the Bean Beasts Original Soundtrack on Steam. This was a platform expansion, not new gameplay content. There is no DLC listed on the store, no announced future content for the PC version, and no roadmap for additional Bean Beasts content. The developer's attention has shifted to porting the existing game to new platforms and building a new project. The game launched as a complete package and has been maintained and expanded to new platforms, but the base content appears finished as of its August 21, 2025 release date.
