Beautiful Desolation launched on February 26, 2020 as a complete isometric point-and-click adventure game. Following launch, the developer shipped two feature patches — one in April 2020 adding Spanish/Turkish translations and a hint system, and another in July 2020 adding an in-game quest/hint system. Post-launch maintenance continued with localization expansions, the most recent being a November 22, 2022 patch that added Korean, Japanese, and Hungarian language support.
Both items in the DLC list — a Supporters Pack (art book, wallpapers, etc.) and the Soundtrack — were released on launch day, February 26, 2020. No unreleased DLC exists.
The developer (The Brotherhood) has since moved on to new projects. In November 2020, they announced STASIS: BONE TOTEM, which shipped in May 2023. In October 2024, they announced their next game, ANIMAL USE PROTOCOL. These announcements confirm the studio is active and healthy, but they also confirm that Beautiful Desolation is a completed, self-contained title — the developer's attention has fully shifted to new projects with no mention of any additional content for Beautiful Desolation.
The game launched as a finished narrative adventure with no live service elements, no season pass, and no roadmap for post-launch content. The last update of any kind was the November 22, 2022 localization patch. Beautiful Desolation is a complete product.
