BEERCRUSH launched on November 20, 2025 and has been consistently updated since. Bug fix patches followed within days of launch (November 22 and 25, 2025), and on February 18, 2026, the developer announced a major free update called "The Bottomless Can." That update shipped on March 19, 2026, adding an endless mode with a new world (The Abyss), a TV minigame mode, a custom challenge/practice mode, alternative world variants, speedrun leaderboards, and more. The game's official soundtrack DLC also released that same day. Post-update, the developer continued at a brisk pace: balance and level design improvements on April 8, a Kyle voice acting joke update on April 1, a major controller support overhaul on April 19, and Steam Workshop mod support added on May 6, 2026. Most recently, on August 11, 2026, LOWLIGHT launched "The BEERCRUSH Border Jam" — a community art contest where winning submissions will be added into the game as playable borders, with a deadline of September 1, 2026. This confirms the developer is actively planning to add new content to the game in the near future. The developer has not made any statement indicating that development is winding down or complete.
