B.E.S.T completed its Early Access journey and launched its full 1.0 release on August 29, 2025, delivering five complete episodes. The developer has since explicitly stated that B.E.S.T Season 1 is complete. The most recent developer communication, a feature patch post on June 28, 2026, explicitly states: "B.E.S.T Season 1 may be complete, but the story is far from over." This confirms that the first game is a finished, self-contained product. The continued story is being developed as a separate game — B.E.S.T 2 — which has its own Steam store page (App ID 3468530) and is an entirely distinct product. The February 8, 2026 post that previously raised uncertainty about how the sequel would reach Steam now has important context: the June 28, 2026 update shows active ongoing work (four new languages added to Season 1, B.E.S.T 2 wishlisted on Steam), and the developer confirms B.E.S.T 2 is in development as a separate title. Any uncertainty about B.E.S.T 2's Steam release path is a concern about that separate game, not about this one. B.E.S.T (Season 1) is a complete, finished visual novel.
