Bit Buddy launched on November 18, 2025 and Salt Fish Studio has maintained a very active development pace ever since. Since launch, the studio has shipped a steady stream of major content updates: controller support and Christmas outfits (December 18, 2025), multiplayer with Lunar New Year outfits (February 11, 2026), Steam Workshop support for community-created content (April 20, 2026), the Wishing Pool feature (May 3, 2026), a Summer Update adding seasonal content and public multiplayer lobbies (June 24, 2026), and — most recently — microphone tracking that lets Bit Buddy react to the player's voice (August 25, 2026). A follow-up bug fix and optimization patch also shipped on August 30, 2026. This establishes a clear and sustained pattern of substantial updates roughly every 4–8 weeks. The launch post on November 19, 2025 explicitly stated "We'll continue to optimize the game after release, bringing more small features and new outfits," and the developer has continued to deliver on that promise. The most recent developer communication was on August 30, 2026, just two days before today's assessment date. There is no indication development is winding down. The one released DLC is a voluntary developer support pack and has no bearing on content status.
