Blocked and Loaded

Blocked and Loaded launched on February 28, 2018 and received active development through early 2019, including new worlds, game modes, and feature patches. However, the developer posted in June 2020 explaining that the source code for Blocked and Loaded (along with several other games) was lost, which effectively ended development on this title. The developer used that setback as motivation to rebuild a successor project — Rogue Party 2 — using a different engine, and has not returned to Blocked and Loaded since. The last update to the game itself was a shadow rendering improvement patch on March 24, 2019. No further patches, announcements, or communications about Blocked and Loaded have been made after that date. An expansion was teased in early 2018 and appeared to be in progress, but the code loss almost certainly prevented its completion — and no post-loss communication suggests it was ever recovered or rescheduled. The game is available for purchase and playable in its current state, but no further content updates are coming.
