Blood Rush entered Steam Early Access on June 18, 2025 and remains firmly in that state, with its solo developer (MaxEstLa) maintaining an impressive and consistent update cadence throughout the past year. The developer explicitly confirmed ongoing development in a November 28, 2025 post, reflecting on "3 years of solo development" and stating the game "will continue to grow and challenge players with the next big planned updates." In the major April 30, 2026 update post, the developer noted that "one or two more price increases are going to happen before the game comes out of Early Access," making clear that a 1.0 release is still ahead. The update history backs this up. Since launch, the developer has shipped at least five major content updates at roughly monthly intervals: a Halloween secret level introducing Moros' Domain (October 27, 2025), the large "Daedalus' World" update adding the game's third circle of Hell, a new boss, new NPCs, a codex system, and a weapon wall (April 30, 2026), new weapons from NPC characters (May 31, 2026), a rework of the alchemy table's third tier (June 27, 2026), and new idols alongside a starting area visual overhaul (July 22, 2026). In between these, multiple feature patches and bug fixes have shipped, including the most recent posts on August 17 and 18, 2026. The July 22 update even notes the developer is "working on a LOT of big stuff for the game" and plans to release it together when ready — confirming that substantial new content is in preparation. This is an actively developed Early Access game with a highly engaged solo developer, a clear monthly update rhythm, and explicit statements that the game has more content and a 1.0 release still to come.
