Evaluation
Bouncing DVD: The Game is a free-to-play casual game that launched on February 10, 2019. The developer shipped a small feature patch the following day and released a single "tip jar" DLC on July 29, 2019. After a period of silence, the developer returned on January 14, 2020, announcing that a previously requested update was nearly ready. That update appears to have shipped (a leaderboard reset was referenced in a March 2021 post). The developer's most recent communication, on March 16, 2021, announced a new unrelated game (OVERSTARS) and explicitly noted it would be "the last announcement for a while." There have been no developer posts of any kind since March 16, 2021. The store description itself frames the game as a disposable time-waster ("Enjoy it, loathe it and uninstall it. That's what we did!"), and no future content has ever been announced or hinted at beyond what has already shipped. The game launched as a simple, intentionally minimal free-to-play experience with a single tip-jar DLC, all of which has been released. All available evidence points to this being a complete, finished product.
Evidence
Developer announced a new separate game (OVERSTARS) and stated this would be the last announcement for Bouncing DVD for a while. No future content for this game was mentioned.
Developer returned after a gap to announce that a previously requested update was nearly ready to ship.

About this game
It's a simple concept, get the DVD to the corner of the screen. The feeling of joy once you get it there is what makes this game so fun and addicting.
Bouncing DVD: The Game is based on a bygone tech where you put silver circles into a plastic box and you could watch movies!
This system was brilliant and even more so of the discovery of a feature when the logo on the idle screen, would ... one in a blue moon, hit the corner of the screen. Thousands or flip phone recordings show the moment when this very event happens. Blah blah blah, that time is over ...
Fortunately, a new era has arrived, an era in which this is all possible.
The player can control the direction of the disk using the "A" and "D" buttons.
Try to get the logo in the corner as quickly as possible and hit the top of the leaderboard!
Because of the limited controls it takes real skill and even a bit of luck.
This game is a free to play time-waster. Enjoy it, loathe it and uninstall it. That's what we did!

UNTIL TODAY
You probably know what we're talking about, the old-fashioned disk screensaver that NEVER comes in the corner!Fortunately, a new era has arrived, an era in which this is all possible.
