Boxes: Lost Fragments launched on February 1, 2024 as a complete puzzle escape game. Following launch, the developer shipped two notable updates: a substantial content update on March 12, 2024 that replaced and refined puzzles, changed the game ending, and added a Story Notes menu; and a follow-up patch on April 3, 2024 that added a new solution for the knight puzzle in Chapter 3. A final performance and bug fix update was released on April 24, 2024. No DLC has been listed or announced for the game, and there are no unreleased store items. The developer has not communicated any plans for additional content updates to Boxes: Lost Fragments. Since April 2024, the studio's communications have focused entirely on their next game — Cages: Hidden Worlds — which was formally announced in March 2026 and had a playable demo released on Steam on May 28, 2026. The studio's shift in focus to Cages: Hidden Worlds, combined with the absence of any content announcements for Boxes: Lost Fragments over more than two years, strongly indicates the game is now a finished product. The game shipped as a self-contained experience and has received all the polish and refinement the developer intended.
