Break Arcade Games Out is a free-to-play arcade game developed and live-streamed in its entirety by solo developer Dan Zaidan. On September 13, 2019, the developer explicitly declared the game finished, describing the completion of the final polishing livestream. The game launched on September 20, 2019, as a complete, free product. Two small patches followed in the days after launch (September 22 and September 25, 2019), addressing community-reported bugs and minor gameplay tweaks. The only DLC ever listed — the game's full source code — was released alongside the game on launch day.
Subsequent news posts from the developer's Steam page announce entirely separate games (Rogue Summoner in September 2020, For Sparta in February 2021), confirming that Dan Zaidan moved on to new projects after this game's release. There have been no updates, patches, or communications about Break Arcade Games Out itself since late September 2019. The game was conceived, built, and shipped as a self-contained project with no post-launch content cycle planned or delivered.
