Evaluation

BRINK Traveler launched on September 9, 2021 and has received a consistent stream of major free content updates ever since. The developer has shipped five significant updates: v1.3 on December 24, 2022 (new international locations and cross-platform multiplayer), v1.4 on March 14, 2024 (twelve new spots and an AI Travel Assistant), v1.7 on December 19, 2024 (five new locations and major night sky features), a Lake Tahoe update on March 15, 2025, and the most recent v1.8 on April 28, 2026 (nine new locations including the Italian Dolomites and Icelandic glaciers, plus a major backend overhaul). The store page explicitly states "New locations & features added regularly!" The v1.4 update post described "lots more in store in the coming months," and the v1.7 post teased "a whole new batch of incredible locations incoming" — both of which were followed by subsequent major releases confirming continued delivery on those promises. The most recent update (April 28, 2026) was released just under two months ago, well within the historical rhythm of updates. The developer continues to actively solicit community feedback and encourage Discord participation to guide future content. There is no indication the developer considers the game complete.
Evidence
