Evaluation
Britannic launched on Steam on January 17, 2020 as a short first-person simulation experience recreating the sinking of the HMHS Britannic. Following launch, the developer released a handful of patches adding small features and fixes — new ladders, an island, improved lighting, wave effects, and a dynamic sky — with the last of these updates shipping on February 5, 2021. Since that date, the developer has posted no further updates to Britannic itself.
The developer's subsequent communications have focused entirely on announcing and releasing new, separate games under the same studio banner: a Titanic simulation (announced December 2021), a Wilhelm Gustloff experience, a Lusitania experience, and most recently Fall of the MS Estonia, which launched in December 2024. None of these posts reference any planned future content for Britannic.
The store description includes a section header reading "OUR UPCOMING GAMES" but lists no content beneath it, and no DLC has ever been announced or listed for Britannic. The game appears to have been conceived and delivered as a self-contained simulation experience. There is no evidence of any planned additions, and the developer's attention has clearly shifted to other titles in their catalog. The last meaningful update to the game was on February 5, 2021, and no further content is expected.
