Buggos launched on March 17, 2022 and received a solid run of post-launch content from its solo developer. Three major content drops shipped across the first year and a half: a Survival Mode (April 3, 2022), the "Return of the Humans" free DLC adding three new bug types, 31 evolutions, and new human mechanics (October 3, 2022), and the Challenge Missions update adding five new missions and five new evolutions (June 17, 2023). Several feature patches and balance updates filled in the gaps. The most recent developer communication was on April 27, 2026, when a Russian language translation was added — a localization patch, not a content update. The last actual content addition was the Challenge Missions update on June 17, 2023. No future content has been announced, no unreleased DLC is listed on the store, and the developer has made no statement about additional content being planned. The Challenge Missions post even hinted at future additions ("Expect many more to come in future updates"), but given that nearly three years have passed since that post with no follow-through and no reaffirmation of that intent, it is best read as an aspiration that was not pursued further. The game appears to have reached its natural conclusion as a complete, feature-rich product.
