Bum: Revenge

Bum: Revenge launched into Early Access on July 30, 2025 and remains in Early Access as of today. The game was temporarily removed from Steam due to a DMCA takedown, but that was overturned and the game relisted on September 3, 2025, with the developer confirming immediate resumption of development. Since launch, the developer has delivered a consistent stream of updates. Two major updates shipped in quick succession: the "Gluten Free Fappé" overhaul on November 20, 2025 (new map layout, combat system revamp, bicycle vehicle, lobby overhaul, district and perks systems), and the Christmas Major Update on December 18, 2025 (voice chat, character customization, flashlight, a new seasonal side quest). A performance and stability update followed on February 1, 2026, which also stated the team would be "shifting focus toward adding new content." A developer roadmap published on September 24, 2025 committed to a next story update (noted as likely to be posted about in January 2026) and additional ongoing content development. While several of the roadmap's near-term promises were delivered through the November and December 2025 updates, the story update was not yet confirmed as shipped, and the game is explicitly still in Early Access — meaning the developer has not yet declared the game complete or ready for a 1.0 launch. The January 17, 2026 announcement also referenced potentially adding more exclusive in-game items, indicating continued content work. The most recent developer communication was on February 1, 2026. The developer has maintained a consistent posting and update cadence throughout the Early Access period, and has made no statement suggesting development is winding down.
