Evaluation
Bunhouse launched on October 19, 2021 and received a steady stream of free content updates from the solo developer (Patrick of Reky Studios) over the following years, with major updates like The Bee Update (April 2022), the Smooth and Speedy Update (August 2022), and the Water Plant Update (February 2024). On February 21, 2024, the developer announced his next game, Cinnabunny, describing it as a "love letter" to Bunhouse fans containing everything he couldn't quite achieve with Bunhouse — strongly signaling that his creative focus had shifted to the new project. Bunhouse received one more minor patch (version 1.7.2 on April 17, 2024 and 1.7.3 on January 30, 2025), both focused on bug fixes and small additions. On February 19, 2025, the developer posted to the Bunhouse page announcing that Cinnabunny had officially launched, explicitly framing it as a spiritual successor. There have been no posts indicating further Bunhouse updates are planned, no unreleased DLC exists, and the developer's attention has clearly moved on to Cinnabunny. The game launched as a complete, finished product and its post-launch content cycle has now concluded. The most recent update was version 1.7.3 on January 30, 2025.
Evidence
Developer announced that Cinnabunny, the spiritual successor to Bunhouse, has launched. The post frames Cinnabunny as the culmination of everything built during Bunhouse's development, with no mention of further Bunhouse updates.
Developer announced Cinnabunny as his next game, explicitly describing it as a love letter to Bunhouse fans containing everything he 'couldn't quite achieve' with Bunhouse, indicating creative focus had shifted away from further Bunhouse development.

About this game
"Bunhouse is just the most wholesome, sweet, good-spirited thing, and its simple joy is a rarity for video games" - Digitally Downloaded
"Bunhouse could prove to be the most wholesome game of 2021" - Destructoid

---------------------------
Bunhouse is a cute couch co-hop game focused on growing plants and managing a greenhouse with fellow buns.
Sometimes life is hectic. Sometimes we just need to take a breather and relax in a happy little world filled with bunnies. This is the core vision of Bunhouse – a game you can play solo or with your friends to relax and be happy. There is nothing to kill, no one to be better than, no quests or debt to pay off, just some plants that need watering and a greenhouse full of possibility.

Bunhouse can be enjoyed with up to four friends locally (on the same computer), provided you have at least one less controller than the number of people that want to play. For example, if you would like to play with three people, you'll need either three controllers, or two controllers and a keyboard. Bunhouse does not have native online multiplayer (and as a solo developer inexperienced in networking, it likely will not receive online multiplayer in the future). Still, online multiplayer is technically possible with Steam's Remote Play Together feature.
Important note: if you plan to buy this game so you can use Steam's Remote Play Together feature, the hosting computer may use keyboard or controllers, but the other connected computers will need to have controllers for it to work. This is a limitation of how Unreal Engine handles local play, and there is sadly nothing I can do to change it.
Thank you and have fun!
