ButtKnight launched on April 25, 2025 as Goblin Stew's debut title. The game received one post-launch content update on June 20, 2025 — a free "H-Scenes Update" adding four new story scenes, quality-of-life features, and balance adjustments. That same update included a "Future Plans" section where the developer stated that any follow-up to ButtKnight would most likely be a separate game (a sequel) rather than DLC, and that their team had moved on to conceptualizing new projects. On December 20, 2025, the developer posted a milestone thank-you message celebrating 100,000 copies sold and signed off with "We hope to greet you again with our new projects in the near future" — language that points forward to new games, not further content for ButtKnight. Taken together, the June 2025 update appears to be the final content drop for this title, with the developer having explicitly indicated no further DLC is planned and the studio's focus having shifted to new projects.

The kingdom is on the brink of ruin ever since the denizens of the underworld attacked without warning, kidnapping the princesses and fair ladies far and wide. With the land now in shambles and nearly maidenless... Sir ButtKnight must emerge from his humble retirement to set things straight and bring back peace!
Gameplay
Use various weapons, items, and powerups to slay swarms of evil minions. Defeat bosses to free the kidnapped beauties from their greedy claws. Show those monsters what you're made of and return to the kingdom with maidens aplenty!
