Cabernet

Cabernet launched on February 20, 2025 as a complete 2D narrative RPG. Following launch, the developer (a two-person studio) shipped a steady series of bug fix and feature patches through mid-2025. On June 3, 2025, they posted a note [NEWS-1] saying the game might not see patches "for a little while" while they attended to personal and professional matters — but promised to return. They did: an August 4, 2025 update [NEWS-4] added new quality-of-life features (a quest "On Hold" marker and extra save slots), and an October 22, 2025 update [NEWS-5] added Japanese language support. On June 23, 2026, the developer returned with another quality-of-life patch [NEWS-2] that brought Steam Deck Verification, a magnifying glass feature for text readability, and windowed mode support — alongside news of a physical Collector's Edition pre-order window. The only DLC available are a soundtrack and art book, both released at launch. No unreleased DLC is listed on the store, and no future content has been announced. The game was delivered as a complete narrative experience, and the post-launch work has been quality-of-life improvements and bug fixes rather than new story content. The developer has not signaled any plans for expansions or additional content.
