Camelot Unchained entered Steam Early Access on June 2, 2026, and has been receiving rapid, regular updates ever since. Since launch, the developer has shipped a steady stream of patches: the first major content update (version 0.43) on June 19, 2026, followed by version 0.43.1 on June 26, version 0.45 on July 17, a hotfix (0.45.1) on July 24, version 0.46 on August 7, version 0.46.1 on August 14, and version 0.47 on August 21, 2026. This represents roughly weekly to biweekly developer communication and releases. On June 24, 2026, the producer published a detailed "June Production Roundup" outlining both near-term plans (improved Home Island mobs, overhauled party and warband UI, a quest system, texture streaming improvements) and a long-term vision covering additional classes (Crafters, Scouts, Shapeshifters, Spirit Mages), siege weapons (trebuchets, ballistas, scorpions), new races, expanded character customization, social features like mail and friends lists, and a rewards system. A formal roadmap was promised to follow. The most recent patch notes (version 0.47, August 21, 2026) explicitly reference future plans, noting that class progression and gathering mechanics are currently placeholders that the team intends to iterate on, and that changes like experience gains from PvP kills and Points of Interest are coming in a future update. The developer is clearly building toward a 1.0 release with a large volume of systems and content still in progress.
